Festival of the Lion King

In 2005 Walt Disney Imagineering and Disney Creative Entertainment enlisted Martin Carrillo to provide Audio Design and Consultation services to the installation of both of Hong Kong Disneyland’s two main venues, Theater in the Wild and Storybook Theater. Theater in the Wild, which is the home of the Festival of the Lion King features a four zone 5.1 theater in the round. Each of the four zones is an LCR arrangement of Meyer Sound CQ-1s and a delay line of UPA-1P with surround UPA-1P taking up the rear. Meyer PSW-6 subwoofer cabinets dot the ceiling. After the system was installed, Martin Carrillo aided Bob McCarthy in the programming of the LCS/Meyer Matrix3 system’s EQ during SIM measurement and then assisted in the SpaceMap surround programming with Pro Tools engineer Scott Jennings of Listen2 audio.
