Golden Mickeys

In 2005 Walt Disney Imagineering and Disney Creative Entertainment enlisted Martin Carrillo to provide Audio Design and Consultation services to the installation of both of Hong Kong Disneyland’s two main venues, Theater in the Wild and Storybook Theater. Storybook Theater, which is the home of the Golden Mickeys show which fans of Disney Cruise lines will remember from a voyage at sea, features a Broadway style show with a large LCR Point source system. Each of the Left Center and Right clusters features a three cabinet array of MSL4s and DP2s. A pair of Meyer Sound CQ-1s serves as downfill for each of the clusters and UPJ-1P surround cabinets circle the audience. Meyer 700-HP subwoofer cabinets fire from the floor and UPM-1P front fill and side monitors finish off the system. After the system was installed, Martin Carrillo aided Bob McCarthy in the programming of the LCS/Meyer Matrix3 system’s EQ during SIM measurement and then assisted in the SpaceMap surround programming with the guys at Audio by the Bay.
